The Internet Marketing Industry

Throughout the years opportunists and entrepreneurs have always been trying to discover novel and unique ways of taking their share of the profits achieved by the bigger industries.  Even though many of these industries are closing their doors, affiliate marketing is still one way of creating huge amounts of money for people all over the world.

These affiliate marketing programs work by website owners being rewarded for hosting products and materials on their sites.  No payment passes between either party during the initial transaction and the affiliates are from then on paid on a commission basis as and when they draw new customers to the primary website.

Affiliate marketing is a program which runs easily and efficiently and is without doubt, one of the most successful opportunities for advertising on line, ensuring everything works well for all involved.

Affiliate marketing, whether for large or small companies provides the perfect way to expand a company’s audience by not only being available on their own website but by appearing on hundreds, sometimes even thousands of other sites also.   As well as this, the affiliate marketing industry gives a flourishing means of income for millions of affiliates who have been on the receiving end of great monetary profits and affords them the luxury of the popularity provided by the industry.

The earnings of single affiliates can be anywhere from 1% upwards (I’d stick with those that paid 25% or higher though) of the money generated by each customer they introduce and this income will continue for as long as the website runs offering the affiliate an earning capacity of a practically limitless amount.

There are no specific requirements to becoming an affiliate marketer, as you will find there are with several other on line industries.  Many people are looking to affiliate marketing to earn their income, with no strings attached and no trickery involved whatsoever.

    Was the post screwed up in someway. I was waiting and checking to see if it worked. I saw once but then it didn’t work.
    Affiliate marketing is good as long as you can produce sign up for yourself. A smal .list helps a lot in making a good affiliate.

    I think especially in this crazy economy people need hope, businesses are also suffering and need all the help they can get and Affiliate Marketers could just be the answer for them since they do not pay us until we send them a buyer.

    I live in Florida and everyday on the street corners there are “people ads” holding signs saying that some business is closing down. It is a sad fact of what is happening in this economy.

    I think more and more businesses are going to look to an Affiliate Program to save on advertising costs and more and more people, as these businesses close doors, are going to be looking for ways to make money.

    Proves once again that Affiliate Marketing is a win-win proposition for all involved.

    Thanks for the post Reed. Cannot believe your new baby slept through his first night. You are definitely blessed.

    Take care,
    Chris

    Fixed Link, very cool. Hello Reed, Thomas here, the website i have has 3 functions,number#1 you can buy from me? number#2 you can become an affiliate of mine and sign up that way, you get one campain and an affiliate link plus who ever buys from you, you will get 30% of the take on your first tier and 15% on your second, you remain an affiliate how ever long your affiliate remains active, and number #3 you can buy the exact same duplicate website as mine by becoming my partner with full admin, w/ all the bells and whistles. Now if that isnt by-passing these ups and downs of our economy i dont know what it is. Keep up the good info Reed, have a great weekend and will see you next week!

    Well put Reed. To tell you the truth, although my wife and I have been marketing and publishing ebooks (The latest one is called “BLOGGING FOR PROFITS” > http://bloggingforprofits.synthasite.com/online ) for a little more then five years now, we where just about ready to call it quits (we are both in our 60’s and have enjoyed some success) until we started reading your posts. It has given us a renewed passion for what started out to be a hobby and has grown into a lifestyle.

    Thank-You

    Hi Reed, Marissa and others.
    LOVe baby’s name – will it be shortened to Zach? We named our eldest daughter Deborah, yet she is always called “Debs”. Our son Dion gets “D”, our son Brendon gets “Bren”,daughter Vicky – that IS the name we gave her – gets just that – Vicky, and daughter Karleen gets “Charlie”!!!!!Her husband started that 15 years ago !!!
    But not to waffle !!
    Another great post,Reed,and I feel that affiliates will come into their own in these “harder” times,although I do also feel that even thinking that horrible word “recession” can reek havoc.I like to concentrate on positive words,helps heaps in ones work attitude and ethic.
    Cheers

    Love your story Reed. A great childhood. Adversity does provide opportunity. That’s how we learn in life. We are not born with everything in life ready made for us. Life is what we make of it. Some are blessed with a good child hood. Others seem to have the world against them. Those that succeed in life, have learned to live life positively. Taking what is presented to them and made the very best of it. That circumstance is success. Where we find ourselves with a life that is worth living because we made something good, positive and contructive out of it. I commend you Reed, for making a positive, constructive and meaningful life for yourself. Keep up the good work. Your family will surely benefit from what you have accomplished and achieved. …Ted.

    Hallo Reed,
    you see also Gurus have no proof against dips in the road; but to know methods to overcome these situations are quickly fixed due to your team of soft-, hard- or ‘wellfare’ engineers.
    I hope you did not suffer.
    about recession it is true and this will last more than 5 years. It is the pitty that all this gredy banksters are now crying for help but only to secure their “earned” billions. They are not giving away to others for help.

    Hallo Reed,
    I have to add after my box went dead why I don’t know (It was murphy )
    If you have sincere content and you are not going to sell something like “HOW TO …( to increase or to double or triple something ) than you have nothing to fear and the hype to bet and get more and more and not to be satisfied is a disease that could not be cured by pills.

    What i witnessed over past 3 years of my engagement in affiliate marketing is that there is no earning.I was curious to see what is going on on the net,get involved in many free programs,put really great efforts in some of them,but it seemed i didn’t get any results.
    I don’t complain,i am big lover of internet,very passionate,and have my own interests in writing,realized two e-books ,wrote several abstracts.

    I think everybody’s work in Affiliate marketing should be rewarded,regardless an Affiliate sell anything for Marketer’s program for which has been signed.It is a work,affiliate did something for Traffic,Popularity,attracting new customers …
    They only promise big profits.

    There is a fact that internet is not the same as offline work,because of that affiliate marketing and all remained must achieve high quality ,higher then offline in order to work its best way.
    It is not just a store you come in and purchase something.A fine* line* between seller and buyer must be builded as well as Affiliate and Marketer.

    @Bruno post was messed up because I had a “/” in the title

    @Jorge thanks and I think we will too, some of our prices may have to go down though we will see.

    @Carrie thanks

    @eBook since I’ve never had to work a job I would say yes internet marketing works

    @Chris I agree we will see more and more affiliate programs. What bothers me about recessions is businesses not wanting to advertise which causes them to lose even more money because you need to market your business if you want it to grow.

    @normz2 that’s why I think internet marketing is the ultimate hedge there is always an economy or a market that is doing well somewhere in the world.

    @Thomas are you describing how your business works? Seems like a good strategy.

    @Jussi I like the way you think, you have a great mindset.

    @Laurie shoot me an email reedfloren AT gmail.com

    @Wayne you made my day; I even told Marissa about your reply. 🙂

    @Lynda yes he’s been called Zach a lot

    @Ted, @Bakhtiar thank you

    @Peter interesting points your bring up

    @Slavica internet marketing can be hard and personally if it weren’t for my connections, lists and speaking engagements I wouldn’t be making anywhere near what I am doing now. For instance this blog has maybe made $100 or $200 but I’ve spent around $1,000 in various things for it plus I have my whole list to broadcast to when I post to it. So either I’m not doing blogging right or it’s really hard to make money with it and the guru’s are lying to us.

    @Richard thanks

    @PV good points

    @Blackhat Planet thanks for the trackback

    How’s your list building going from the blog Reed you must be gaining at least some new subscribers the big money will come later when your blog gets more and more page rank with nice people like me linking to, bookmarking your pages and stumbling etc.

    @Sylvia did you start building a list of subscribers in the early days of your marketing affiliate efforts.

    The first dollar really is the hardest then it’s all maths. What did I do how much did it cost me. Is it worth doing again where else can I make a subtle offer on my existing real estate?

    I am noticing that the no of incoming links is fairly constant and I know you are being bookmarked regularly and being used as rss feed to a few lenses out there (because I’m doing it myself). As your own readers gain greater knowledge they will link to your growing authority blog on affiliate marketing and there will have a long term impact.

    Especially if these are still about in six months or so and producing content and getting page rank themselves regardless how small.

    I think personally that a blog is for life not for instant profits. Yours is set up for the long run.
