How to Use Adsense To Help Your Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing  is something that is very rewarding money-wise and allows you an opportunity to work at home, on your own time.  When you are looking to see if affiliate marketing is right for you, you will find that if you are interested in escaping from the humdrum, ordinary grind at the office and the monotonous climb up the corporate ladder, you may be after a career as an affiliate marketer.  As an affiliate marketer you don’t need to worry about products to sell, shipping inventory or product processing.  All you need to do is to sell the products and to enjoy the fringe benefits that come from working at home!

When you get involved with affiliate marketing, you will find that you are dreaming about making vast amounts in commissions, and why not?  You’ll find, though, that you are not guaranteed instant success and that if you don’t work on it, you are not going to see very much at all.  The truth of the matter is that there are lots of ways to make sure that you can maximize your income and that you have to think about them.  Think about partnering with several compatible merchandiser and promoting different products together.  This will increase the amount of benefit that you can get from your work without more effort on your part.

When you want to get everything that you can out of your steams of revenue, you will find that you need to think about how Google Adsense is going to work for you.  When you are thinking about Google Adsense, you may be wondering about what it is and why so many affiliate marketers are using it.  If you are curious about Google Adsense, there are a few things that you need to know.  After that, you will find that you are as interested in it as everyone else.

First you need to be aware that merchants will use Google.  As Google is one of the most powerful search engines out there, you will find that the traffic that goes through it is impressive.  Keep in mind that with the Google Adsense program, you will be able put the merchandiser ads on your websites.  That way, whenever someone clicks on an ad from your site to the merchandiser’s site, you will get paid through Google for bringing that merchandiser business.

One of the best reasons that you will find for using Google Adsense is that the ads are going to be relevant to your interests.  You will find that the ads are going to be things that the people visiting your site are going to be interested in and you will find that by doing this, you are creating a network of people who are interested in the same thing.  Google will essentially scan your website and give you ads that it considers relevant to your target reader base.  You will also find that as you cycle through content your site, Google will also cycle through ads, making sure that even if your site’s focus changes that you will still be able to get good results and relevant ads.

When you have Google Adsense ads on your website, you are making your site a hub of good information for your customers.  You will find that more customers will increase your income stream and you will find that you don’t have to use even more effort to get them to click on your links.  Remember that you will also be able to get them to essentially act as your endorsers, as they introduce your site and your product to their friends and family.

When you are looking at the advertisers for Google Adsense, you will find that they run the gamut from enormous to tiny  Whether you are looking at domestic or international business, or small or large, you can find them here.  You will find that with this variety, you will be able to attract more varied users and improve your earning potential.

If you want to get more money through Google Adsense, you will find that you need to make sure that your webpage is of high quality and has good information.  Make sure that you are going to be fit to display high-paying ads so that you can improve your earning potential.  Remember that while some ads pay out pennies per click, others will pay as much as a dollar!  Find a good affiliate marketer program that will give you tips and tricks from the pros.

Becoming a Google Adsense marketer is quite easy, but you will find that making your mark in it takes some study and effort.  All you are going to do is to make a request and then copy and paste some code into your website; in no time at all, you will be started!

Make sure that you take advantage of this important opportunity; chances this good don’t come around very often, so check out what Google Adsense can do for you.

    Greetings Reed, Thomas Richmond here, i find that Affiliate marketing has been climbing at a rapid pace this past year from years of hiding from the big dogs who own a website selling there own products, these affiliates have surpast this in some capacity. I still think its best to have your own website though to get the full benifit. Thank you for the Adsence info Reed, your doing a great Job at informing us once again. 🙂

    Hi Reed,

    Using Google AdSense is a way to make money, that’s true. However, in my point of view, if you have a blog that’s very targeted at a certain niche, you’re also exposing your site to competitors because they can specifically buy advertising space on your blog.

    Thus, leading away potential buyers and visitors to buy from them instead of from you. Of course, that will take some smart marketing by that advertiser!

    Once again great post Reed! Adsense does have BIG advantages to those with high traffic on their site and/or have several websites to use it on. Some people get excited and think that having google ads on their site will starting giving thema nice paycheck for doing nothing. What people need to realize is that in order to make a decent income you need to work hard at marketing your blog/site and have the appropriate amount of traffic to make a decent income. I also believe you can pick and choose what type of ads would be displayed and of course I wouldn’t be picking any of my competitor ads.

    Thanks again Reed I always enjoy your blog. They are very informative, easy to read and not borring!

    Hope you had a great halloween

    Reed,

    I have just recently started building my own Adsense empires and have been quite successful with a few of my sites (others not so much but that’s mainly due to my low content).

    Most of my adsense websites have been specifically built for adsense and a couple CPA offers (Amazon, Commission Junction, etc). My income from those sites depends almost solely on adsense or those cpa offers and they have no other affiliate products or big ticket items on them.

    If the primary focus of my sites is sales from my own products or affiliate products, I tend to leave adsense off. I don’t want my visitors being distracted and taken away from my pages by clicking on an adsense ad.

    I think it’s one of those things you have to play with and test…test….test.

    This is just the way I’ve structured my sites and implemented adsense. Oh…and for those who are still wondering…Adsense is by no means dead. As long as advertisers are buying “Adwords For Content” then Adsense will continue to be a source of residual income.

    I myself have clicked on several Google Adsense ads on various sites. I’m educated enough to know what they are but when the ad is written well it can peak my interest enough to click it on and I’ve just made that website owner some money.

    As always I enjoy reading your posts,

    Nice article, Reed.

    I’m not really that big on Adsense, mostly because they’ve already banned me from displaying their ads. I’m not discouraging anyone from using Adsense, just know that they can yank you from the program for any reason.

    I have since moved to the Pepperjam network. There, I have complete control over what ads display on my blog and I am actually beginning to make better money now then I did when using Adsense.

    Hope this finds you and yours well

    @Kim one of the ways I got a lot of clicks on adsense is by having pages that really didn’t have any other options for them to go to see if they wanted to go somewhere they pretty much would click the adsense ad or go to their address bar and enter in a site.

    @Timothy yes it sure is nice to get income coming in all the time.

    @Thomas thank you

    @Asher there is a Competitive Ad Filter in adsense you just have to look for it.

    @Mohamed try doing a search like “game affiliate program” on google. Removed DealDotCom thanks

    @Rivers thank you

    @Ouss you’re welcome, now please don’t post a comment with that many links again.

    @Timothy Halloween was alright the party I planned to go to was canceled so I had to find another.

    @Serena agreed people need to realize they won’t make money off adsense unless they get traffic

    @Margaret glad to help.

    @PV thanks

    @Jane yes if you are selling your own products on the site then no need to use AdSense

    @Mikey yes I should look into pepperjam too I hear it brought up a lot

    @Nayanika what’s your google site?

    @Jill you’ll get paid the same as if they didn’t buy from my understanding. Now there may be something on their end that rewards you with a few extra cents but you won’t be getting a huge amount.

    @Urpo test it out and see what happens

    @TeasesTips yep that can help.

    Great post! I love Adsense and the income they’re paying for all the clicks. The ads look professional and get a good clickthru rate. They add to my site and income. I personally like having Adsense on my page.

    Reply Reply November 6, 2008

    Reed, good info. A site owner needs to think what’s the most desired ‘click thru’ he/she wants? If you have a high converting product on a page – DON’T also have Adsense. If not much is happening on a page and you’ve good content, then add Adsense for monetization (where it wouldn’t otherwise be happening.) To me it’s a great gap filler for bringing home a few rashers of bacon.
