Wow! Twenty-six years ago “I” had my FIRST child (daughter)! Children are absolutely awesome…I’m so excited for you both!

There’s lots to learn about parenting, and I’m certain between your family and hers, you two will be a great mom and dad!

GREAT TIP: As everyone is “oooh’ing” and “aaahing”, remember that special woman who was 1000% instrumental in the young one’s entrance into the world. Give her a surprise MICRO-party (she’ll most likely be too tire for a full-blown one), as well as ample time to just sleep and “be”. She’ll thank you this time next year when you have Lil’ Mr. Reed’s 1st birthday party if not the next 6 months!

    Congratuations again! ;~D

I still remember coming out of the operating room, with the first daughter being born, in total awe. “I’m a father now” ..I said that for hours. LIFE Changing moment. Very few moments will be this pivotal in your life. The other is when you get married. That too is when the BOY becomes the MAN. One word says it all…Responsiblity.

It’s a goodnight rhyme to whisper to your new best friend, just after the light goes out each night from here on in:

    “You’re happy, you’re healthy, you’re wealthy and wise … you’re living, you’re loving, you’re laughing and giving … you’re clever and charming and confident … you’re lucky, you’re lovely …

    … you’re loved.”

How blessed you are. Teach him about God and he will make you prouder still- Deuteronomy 6

Verse 7-And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house and when thou walkest by the way and when thou liest down and when thou risest up.

Proverbs 3- My son forget not my law but let thine heart keep my commandments .
verse 2- For length of days and long life and peace shall they add to thee.

My son Samuel is 1yr 7mths and he repeats everything he hears and it is heartwarming to hear him recite the first couple of lines in the first verse of proverbs 3.

    Hi Reed and Marissa,

    Congratulations on your son.
    He’s a handsome little guy.

Having children is sort of like helping people succeed in this crazy business. It is such a joy when you see someone you helped succeed.

I will never forget the beauty of the day my daughter was born and I took her in my arms for the first time.

It was the most beautiful day of my life.
And like James commented, my daughter is 26 now and my grandson just turned nine.

It is great that you have built your Internet Business so you will be able to cherish more time together as a family.

Thanks for all you do and offer us.
    God Bless you.

Many parents will tell you “enjoy every moment, they grow up so fast”. This is because it’s true! My daughter is now 11, and I don’t know where the years went.
    Here’s my advice:
-Never take advice from people who don’t actually have children!
-Nobody knows your son better than you do. Trust your instincts.
-Enjoy yourself! Don’t lose your sense of humor, it can be your most valuable parenting tool.

Just wanted to let you know, we tried for 10 years to have a baby. We had LOTS of problems along the way. Our daughter is now nearly 10 years old. NEVER give up (unless it is medically impossible)just keep trying, don’t stress out, keep calm and be positive. If age is a factor, don’t worry too much I was 43 when I had our daughter. Children keep you young (most of the time).

May your little fellow be a great joy to you both. Cherish every day with him – even the ones when he tries your patience (and, sorry to say, he surely will! πŸ™‚ ). From where you stand now, the benchmarks of the years ahead may appear distant, but they will go by in the blink of an eye and pretty soon, your sweet “little” son is walking his mother down the aisle on his wedding day, as ours did this past month.

So congratulations to the parents and welcome to your little fellow, whatever his name turned out to be. πŸ™‚
