    Interesting points. It definitely takes time and effort to reach “super affiliate” status. Succes comes before work only in the dictionary.

    Hey Reed, You are right,there is a lot of money to be made in affiliate sales but there is also
    much more competition. It is a good Idea to run
    several similar items at the same time and see which one is producing then dump the rest. I believe Article marketing is much more effective
    than PPC, and cheaper! If you want Targeted traffic than Article marketing is the way to go.
    Have a wonderful Day. Timothy Millar

  • Thanks for a great post Reed.
    Patience and persistence are definitely two of the traits that are required for anything in life, let alone a successful internet business.
    To be able to have a rifle barrel focus, as this will separate the winners from the triers, and also to avoid the information overload disease, which all of us have suffered from at some point in out internet business.
    Look forward to your continuing help and support Reed, Thank you.

    Hi Reed,

    Affiliate Marketing may be the easiest way to get into the Online Business but you really need to work at it. It will take time and perserverence to make money. There’s much to learn an these a days it seems to be all about instant gratification so people give up to soon. I’ve learned that I need keep going and not to give up

    Hi Reed,
    I enjoyed your blog even though it reminded me of how I may have given up to soon on my Mentors program. I read another blog by Jim Brown with a similar theme. Don’t give up when things get rough. I won’t let that happen again thanks to the support I find in blogs like yours. Thanks again.

    Hi Reed,

    You really touched very important points here.

    Affiliate marketing is very competitive, many affiliates are failing everyday because they don’t put all it takes to be successful.

    If you don’t work hard your competitors will put you out of business sooner or later.

    It takes sacrifice, effort and dedication. When you put all this into you business you’ll see results… never give up if you are making no money, just keep working.

    Most people give up too early, just keep persevering, then when you see the first results you get excited, you want to learn more and you do more, at this point everything becomes easier and everything flows better.

    Reed, I like the Ewen Chia super affiliate training material. He seems to always create lists and do autoresponder follow up in the affiliate marketing process. Also, consistency and congruence in your image, like branding yourself with that specific niche list.

    Thirst for knowledge! That is key in internet marketing. The you need to put your time and effort and passion in to it. I’ve seen many people generate little extra income from the net, but without generating actual sales or leads even clicks (meaning they’ve been paid per view), I don’t believe that can be the trend for long.

    @Sarah agreed it’s not a buy this product and success magically happens type of thing.

    @Mohamed thanks

    @Timothy nice to see you are having success with articles

    @David you’re welcome

    @Wayne keep us posted things start to change when you hit that amount since you have more money to throw around at outsourcing

    @Luis you’re welcome

    @Mike agreed we need to come back and review and work on our businesses

    @Luca keep us posted on how things go for you

    @Ari enjoy

    @Lloyd glad to help

    @PV agreed a lot of people give up, I’ve got something to admit. Even though I do well at this there are times when I just want to “give up” and do the normal thing, but we must keep pressing on because a job won’t get you anywhere

    @Rachel thanks

    Reed, another one worth learning from, every step, is Michael Rasmussen. Truly an impressive over-achiever because he gives away immense value for newbies learning this affiliate marketing stuff. A power house on email copy!

    Reed, How to Become an ‘overachieving’ Super Affiliate? Simple Principle: INTEGRATE with the existing web of links. That is, get your material linked to on web 2.0 sites and as many blogs as possible. I post on Digg and Reddit and Stumbleupon, then turn round and promote those pages, integrating them into every social bookmarking site. Still waiting for results. Google takes about 4 months.
