The Will To Succeed

The objective of this post is to inspire you and to encourage you to push hard to the front so that you never give up. With that said, let’s get started…

We all have two sides, which fight each other. One focuses on advancing, while the other wants to stay in place, even to go back. To succeed, we need to concentrate on the one that helps us move forward. That’s the one that should be in control.

Your will decides the issue. Using it, you can change your whole life and put success on the action plan. You can do it, you just need to get the right side of your nature in charge.

You are the director of your life, everything you do is up to you. Your choices depend on what you’ve been taught and what you’ve learned. Your will takes all that and leads you along a certain life’s path.
You choose which side wins and controls you. What you do is pick whether your will focuses on success or on being lazy and doing nothing.

We’ve all read good books and articles and, at the end, felt that they haven’t helped. But those things do let us know what is possible and present us with a decision – to act or do nothing.

Learning about how to succeed doesn’t help if you don’t use what you’ve learned to accomplish things and make your own way. Get started, learn how to make things work, and use that information to reach your goals.

Everything you do adds up and plenty of opportunities are offered for improvement. You just have to take advantage of them to accomplish things. Start at the beginning of each day by checking to see what you’ve done, if your expectations aren’t met, things haven’t occurred, work on them. Get them done before you try for something else.

Find out why you haven’t progressed, why that goal wasn’t reached, and get it done, using any means necessary. Not reaching a goal doesn’t mean you should stop, just try harder, time may be lost, but that is expendable.

Working harder to get something finished just makes the accomplishment more sweet. In addition, more is learned, as you stretch and expand your knowledge and belief in yourself.

Remember, to succeed, you must always improve. Where you are or what you’re doing doesn’t matter. Just learn, focus on what you can do, don’t think about what you can’t manage, that is always changing. You’ll become a hustler, always getting things finished.

You’ll be at the top if you do all the work and take all the risks. You’ll have learned and grown, while those who didn’t take those steps will be left behind, those who don’t try don’t win the roses and achieve success.

They aren’t put in positions of power and responsibility.

Working hard and trying shows you can get things done properly. You have to focus on things and do the work for anything to be accomplished. That leads to success and things well done.

Those who have succeeded struggled to get there, they did difficult things. Experiments fail, injuries are received, and criticism is faced. Their victories are achieved after many failures and hardships.

To be a success, that is what you must go through. Fight, learn, try, fail. You’ll pick up all you need to learn to reach your goals and be a success.

Everybody wants to succeed, but only those who make the effort and do the necessary work will make it. Set your heart on success and concentrate on achieving your goals. Work at developing the habits needed to make your life what you want it to be like…

    What you have said here is indeed true. And..I have found that those who aren’t doing what you are doing in attempting something hard to succeed in this 10+ year old dream, tend to not take you seriously. So, sometimes, it means walking and being alone. But, as I have said “Failure is not an option,” Quitting is not an option,” and the name of the game so to speak is to “Keep on Keeping On.” Good words

    To use too much of the will could be very taxing, and may cause the individual to get fed up ultimately.

    It is necessary to use the will, but to make is easier, one should employ the use of positive emotions to help drive the individual towards his goal. All of us are creatures of emotions by nature. When one finds pleasure in what he is doing, he tends to take action towards his goal. Since emotions are products of thought, one should mobilize the powers of his imagination to visualize enjoyment in the actions he is to take to achieve his goal.

    Then, will-power is made more powerful to drive him towards his goal.

    I’ve been reading your emails for a long time now. Nice to find your blog to read and comment on. I’ve found in my life unless I consider something worth fighting for I ignore it. I’ve got some agressive goals I’m working towards right now and feel very energized by them.

    All my life I have been a plugger, expecting things to turn out in the end, when the effort is put in. How do you measure success?

    Great post Reed and PV! Sometimes, we are becoming lazy in nature if the efforts we’re putting in are not paying off at first, but we must remember that to become successful, we must move forward and towards our goals. Always focu on the end-result, and of course, never give up. 🙂

    You are right about persistence. I decided to Persist and immediately got buried under an avalanch of information and spend way to much time filtering and absorbing it. You seem to know all about those problems so I will spend some time learning everything you know.

    I think the biggest obstacle people run into is that they interlace DREAMS and GOALS or can’t distinguish the difference between the two. And you need goals to SUCCEED, which will put you on the path to reach your dreams.

    So set yourself a target and define the goals you must achieve to reach that target. Make the goals small enough, so you have something to achieve every day or week, and congratulate yourself when you reach those goals, which will keep you motivated to push for those dreams and success.

    Ive recieved ebooks on internet marketing a long time ago and have only started to read them now. After alot of fighting with myself I have decided to just do it. A friend of myne once told me that working on a crap idee is better than doing nothing with a brilliant idee. So that is exactly what I’m going to do. Start doing affiliate programs slowly and build on it, untill I have my goals and dreams reached or untill I’m at the point where I see its not working for me. Thank you for the inspiration and all the emails I get from you.

    @Eric thanks!

    @Koorosh That’s right, you have to fight for your goals. The point is to work smart and not hard 🙂

    @Day Online Solutions, I agree you can learn everyday something new which can have a huge impact on your life and business.

    @Anita Stelling, Well said. You have to push hard to the front no matter what.

    @Percival Meris, Great point. Thanks!

    @Ben Holmes, Keep working on your goals with all your energy, it will pay off with great results.

    @Ahmed, Thank you.

    @normz2, I measure success this way…
    I set my goal, I work on it and when I achieve it then it is a success for me… then I reward myself, I celebrate.

    The goal can be big or small, but when you achieve it you feel really good.

    @Gary David, That’s right. Sometimes you find difficulties and obstacles, but don’t let those things stop you because if you quit every time you find a difficulty you create that habit and you become a quitter.

    @Patrick, Hope you learn useful things, thanks!

    @Doug, I think you have a great method to keep trying. Your kids will keep you motivated.

    @John Pierce, Yes there is too much info out there, the point is that you have to know what you need so that you don’t waste time in things that are not going to help you.

    @Zemalf, It is a good method to achieve goals. I set my big goal, let’s say for a year and then I break it down into small goals, prioritize them and start working on the first one in the list.

    @Jan, It’s great to hear that. Start doing this is the only way you have to make your dreams come true.

    @east, It doesn’t matter if English is not your first language, it can’t be an excuse to quit.

    You say that marketing is not your thing, but I think that you can learn marketing at least the basics. You can even team up with someone who works on marketing and you do the things you do well.

    Hi PV
    I’d agree that willpower and chosing to act is important, with some reservations. In reading and re-reading your post, you seem to emphasize “hard work” and that succeding is “hard”…

    Physics teaches us that a body in motion tends to remain in motion and a body at rest tends to remain at rest. This seems to have some application in this situation.

    While I’d agree that getting started as opposed to not doing so is challenging, I think it’s also important to note that,once you’re moving (if you’re chasing something that’s truly your calling) often things flow and come together easily and joyously.

    In other words, getting off the sofa may be a strain, but the rest of it doesn’t have to be hard.

    Wishing you easy sucess
    Catherine

    That’s very true. We are responsible of who we become in life.
    You cannot succeed without taking action and that is what sets the difference between the losers and the winners.

    Again no knowledge in the world can help you achieve success if you can’t have the discipline to do what it takes to have it working towards your success.

    It’s one thing to have a multi-million dollar idea and another to have it working for you and accomplish your goals.

    It take massive action and progressive learning to achieve success to great heights.
