Successful Affiliate Use Ad Trackers

There is a lot of money to be made in affiliate marketing, at least for the marketer who is serious about being a success in the business. The level of success that can be achieved is largely dependent on the dedication and perseverance he or she possesses.

No matter how good the program is, if the marketer is unwilling to put in the necessary work, the business will not prosper. If you just put up links and banners and put in no further effort, nothing will happen. The affiliate has to drive targeted traffic to their site and convince these visitors to click through to the merchant’s sit and make a purchase.

You can even make enough income from affiliate marketing to replace your day job. You can work from home and make money even while sleeping! To start, you’ll need a well designed, professional looking site.

You need high quality content, an appealing design and attractive banner ads. You should take advantage of every advertising opportunity open to you – message boards, email and newsletter marketing and AdWords. Google AdWords is a great tool, but you must check in periodically to monitor your results and fine tune your campaigns if you want to make the most of it.

This can be an easy way to manage your advertising campaigns if you have taken the time to plan your affiliate program efforts well and work step by step towards success. Now there’s a tool which can help you to make the process even easier – AdTracker. Successful affiliate marketers often point to AdTracker as one of the essential elements of their success.

But just what is an ad tracker? This is a piece of marketing software which lets you track your click throughs and give you detailed statistics which can help you to improve your marketing and advertising campaigns. If you are involved in more than one affiliate program and have a variety of ads out there, ad trackers can help you to keep track of all of your advertising efforts.

You don’t want your hard work to be wasted, so you want to make sure that your advertising is working effectively. You want to be sure that your advertising budget is well spent. Ad trackers let you know how well your advertisements are performing, letting you know what’s working; as well as what is not. These kinds of statistics can help you to greatly improve your advertising and your revenues as well.

Your sales information and other statistics are important to the success of your business and indeed can tell you if your affiliate program is one which is worth being involved in. Similarly, this information helps you determine what marketing efforts are the best for you to employ.

Any marketing decision you make should be made based on solid information. While it is no guarantee that a given decision will work out as you had planned, you won’t be able to say that there was no good reason to take the action that you did if it does not go exactly according to plan. Just because your success is not instant is no reason to drop the business altogether.

If you are truly committed to your affiliate marketing business, remember that being successful depends on your willingness to put hard work into your business. If you don’t instantly meet with huge success, don’t be discouraged, If an affiliate program has worked for others, it could for you as well. An ad tracker can help you to understand why some affiliates are successful and others not; and become one of the affiliate success stories.

    Hi Reed,

Good information shared here. Most of the time when people are doing pay-per-click ads, they tend to skip on the ad tracking part – which is rather suicidal if they are spending hard earned cash.

To succeed, one must be willing to put in work… as the saying goes:

To be successful in any affiliate marketing is to laser targeted visitors, not just viewers or looker, real people with real money, yet to go there is also not easy, first you have to highlight what keywords your using for your niche market, this is what to attract real people with money. But you know what that would be the last step, because I have done my homework getting targeted traffic still my affiliates not making any money, so I start getting into different target market, meaning promoting my sites out of my niche market and keywords, still Im not getting money for my affiliates but my Alexa Rank jump to 200,ooo within a week.So in this case nothing can rest assure what works and what doesn’t you just have to try everything on spot then you’ll know what happen. The idea is if I promote my site out of my market topic I will get unique visitors and list of email if they comment plus indexing from backlink will strengthen my site in search Engine, therefore if my Alexa Rank could be more higher within the range 100,000, according to many Gurus in IM you’ll get minimum 1000 vistors per day, I will just put banner advertising that rewards me with good money, suppose from 1000 visitors and CTR 10%, that means 100 multiply by US$1, i can get US100/day…which is not bad,of course this is only simple figure out and if the affiliate doesn’t make money I will throw away and just do what works for me

I use AdTrackz for PPC marketing, for tracking links from viral ebooks and reports. I also use Xtreme Conversions for tracking keywords from PPC campaigns. It is tedious to set up tracking for everything but a necessity.

I have three videos on my blog which show you how to use Xtreme Conversions for tracking if anyone wants to see what it can do.

    Hi Reed,

    This is a good point.

If you want to make more money and at the same time save time and be more efficient you need to track your campaigns.

You have to know what is working and what doesn’t work, this way you can focus on what is working and you don’t waste time with things that don’t bring in anything.

    Tracking is key.

    Thanks,

    Hi Reed,
There are a lot of things that affiliates need to know and do to be successful including what you say above.
I have had plenty of opportunity to use an add tracker but because I could not understand it at the time I chose to do it all by hand or brain.
I do not know how many cheques I have missed out on because of this.
On thing I will emphasize that is a must; if you are planning to make money on line then you must have an ad tracker.
You can also get other products that keep track of what you are doing; an auto-responder is one.
Please if you want to get big buck on line then start properly in the very first instance.

Geof Dodd’s post “Beyond Positive Thinking: Investing In Yourself” is also a heads up to the newbie’s; well done Geof I loved it.

Reed, I notice Aweber supplies tight ad tracking in email campaigns. We do need to know how effective our ads and campaigns are, especially if we’re paying for advertising or autoresponders. Fail forward faster implies testing and then repeating only those ads that earn a high ROI or profit for us. Test for results then select. Repeat. I like the free tracking at URLfreeze.com and other similar URL cloaking services.

    Good point Reed.

The more tools one uses or at least tries, will help determine what works for them. Always keep in mind that some ads may get lots of views but produce few sales or prospects and ads with only a few views may produce a lot of sales. Tracking statistics is also part of tracking ad performance.
